Nadine Fern Elwin Forcke, 100, passed away on February 5, 2025, in Barling, AR. She was born on July 16, 1924 in French Harbor, Roatan, Central America. Nadine spent most of her adult life living in the Brazosport, Texas area and moved to Alma, Arkansas in 2013 to live with her daughter, Shelley.

Nadine loved people and people loved her. Children were drawn to her and she spent many years working as a nanny and helping in daycare facilities. Nadine was a talented seamstress and loved to make quilts for children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Forcke; son, Eddie Forcke; daughter, Peggy Forcke Roper; two sisters; three brothers.

She is survived by daughters Sandra Adams of Van Buren, Arkansas; Shelley Greenwood and husband, Gary of Alma, Arkansas; daughter-in-law Gaye Forcke of Marble Falls, Texas; son-in-law Charlie Roper of Van Buren, Arkansas; niece Verna Elwin Reed of Brazoria, Texas; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Shelly , Sandy and the rest of family my sincere Condolences to all , I'm so sad for your loss Aunt Dine meant a lot to me and my family, she is going to be missed , she was always so happy and welcoming I will always cherish the times we spent with her and uncle Joe , now they are resting until Jesus comes , my thoughts and prayers are with you all.🙏🏻❤️

I'm so sorry to hear this. Mrs Forcke lived a great life. She was one of the strongest women I know. She helped me for many years in my daycare and my family loved her. I didn't have any relatives near by and I grew so attached to her. What a wonderful and loving woman that touched so many lives. ❤️
