Glenda Ruth Pierce, born on May 18, 1952, in Edinburg, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2025, at the age of 72. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Glenda was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Margie Ruth Potts; father, Jessie Delbert Cameron; husband, Douglas Wayne Pierce; sister, Debra Olen Cameron; nephew, Felix A. Helveston; nephew, Cory Dean Cameron; and grandson, Augustine Jesus Faragoza.

She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Ilene Buchanan, Jessica Reba Pierce, and Samantha (Julie) Rene Pierce; her son, Darrell Wayne Buchanan Jr. and wife Jenny Buchanan; and her brother, Delbert Dewayne Cameron and wife Veronica Cameron. Glenda is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Brianna Zavala, Sierra Buchanan, Aimity Rackley, Ivy Rackley, Cirena Rackley, Brooke Buchanan, Sarah Buchanan, Megan Buchanan, April Faragoza, Alyssia Pierce, Alexas Faragoza, Kane Taylor, and Hailey Taylor, along with Fifteen great-grandchildren, all of whom were the light of her life.

The funeral service will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Jackson, Texas, on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. The family visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by public visitation at 11:00 a.m. The service will be at 1:00 p.m., presided over by David Catoe of Danbury Baptist Church. Glenda's family welcomes all who wish to pay their respects and celebrate her life.

Glenda's life was a testament to the love she shared with her family and friends. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her loved ones. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who were lucky enough to know her.
May she rest in peace.
