I brought Don to Freeport with me in 1961 when he was 17. He was my lead player. We played hundreds of gigs and opened for acts like: Chubby Checker, Freddie Fender and Conway Twitty. Already miss you my friend.

Don was my brother- in- law which I spent a lot of time
With at a early age , we worked together, hunted together
, but I move to another location in Texas and saw very little of
One another till about 2 years ago when I felt an need to go
Visit with him in the nursing home , we had a very good time
Talking about the lord and when I left there I felt not only was
He my brother-in- law but was my Brother in the lord Jesus.

I always admired you when I was a kid growing up watching you play. I looked forward to having Christmas with you back then. Love you. Thank you for bringing my dad into this world. Rest easy.

When I walked my dog on Basswood street Don and in I would visit and I always enjoyed. Most conversations would end up with his love for music. What I most admired was the good son he raised in Donald jr. He is a good man and good friend. Rest in peace Don.

It was my good luck and honor to play music with Don in the Buster Curry Band. I joined the group to play drums and was in awe of Don's playing and singing. He and I always took the opportunity to play "Wipeout" whenever we had a gig. It was also great to see Don when BCB played at Country Village where he would join the band for a couple of songs. The retirement homes and I will miss Don.
