Interment will be held at Dignity Restwood Cemetery in Clute, TX immediately after the funeral.

Claude was born on February 16, 1929 in Ben Arnold, TX to Claudie Coker and Mamie Baldridge Coker. He grew up in Ben Arnold and graduated as the valedictorian (beating out the other 2 graduates). The State of Texas added the 12th grade level to the school curriculum and the following year Claude graduated from Yoe High School in Cameron, TX. Soon after graduation, Claude moved to Freeport, TX and went to work for Dow Chemical Company where he worked for over 40 years. He met the love of his life, Robbie Ruth Suttle at the movie theatre in Freeport, TX. Claude and Robbie were married October 5, 1951 in Clute, TX and were married for 55 years. They had three sons, David Claude Coker, Steven Dale Coker, and James Grant Coker.

Claude served in the US Army as part of the Occupying Force in Germany. He was a member of the Clute Church of Christ and served as a Deacon and later as an Elder. He coached all 3 of his sons during their Little League careers and remained active in the organization as President and later as Player Agent. After retirement from Dow, he volunteered with the Meals on Wheels program. He loved to play ''42'' dominoes and later in life enjoyed visiting and drinking coffee with his boys when they came for a visit. He was an avid reader, especially Louis L'Amour westerns.

Claude is preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
