Dolores was the daughter of Nell and Harry St Clair of Freeport, TX. Dolores was born April 8, 1947 in Lufkin, Tx. then raised in Freeport, Tx where they moved to in 1952. She was a very dedicated Brazosport High School Exporter, where she graduated as a member of the class of 1965. In September of 1967 she met the future love of her life, Luther Dean Knox (L.D.) life through a blind date. They were later married in February of 1968. For the first ten years of their marriage, she worked through many jobs and fields in support to her husband who was stationed in Houston as Trooper for the Texas Department of Safety. Upon L.D.'s promotion to Sargent with the D.P.S., they transferred to Austin, Tx., where she became employed by the famous ''Bullock Raiders'' of the State's Comptroller's Office. In 1979 they moved to Freeport, where she was employed with Dow Texas Operations as an Office Professional. Her passionate work ethics expanded her knowledge and abilities to help Dow Polyethylene transition to the SAP system. In 2002 she retired and was then brought back as a consultant to help train and teach new employees. This turned her desires to later become a substitute teacher at her alma matter of Brazosport High which led her to become their Registrar. When Dolores retired in 2011 from Brazosport High School, she dedicated herself to support of her husband, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dolores enjoyed many hobbies and activities as well as being a life long member of the First Baptist Church in Freeport, where she sang in the choir and helped with seasonal events and activities.

L.D. and Family, saddened to hear of your loss. I have many fond memories of Dolores during our Polyethylene days. She was always the one everyone turned to when needing help or to get things done. She was the expert. And always willing to help. May God bless you with comfort and peace and with many long-lasting, happy memories.

Mr. Knox
I'm so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Dolores in the mid 90's with Dow on SAP implementation projects. She was always so nice and helpful. Today, Craig and I are great friends and colleagues, and I know how much he cared and loved his mom. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

My sincere condolences to LD and family. I worked with LD, and our offices were next to each other and If LD was out in the plant and his phone would ring, I would answer from my office. A lot of the time it was Dolores, so she started calling me his secretary. She even sent me flowers, cards, and plants on Office Professional Day. She was a very sweet Lady. RIP my friend for you have gained your wings
