On July 16, 2011, Candelaria Casteneda Lopez went home to be with the Lord after a short battle with cancer, she was 76 years old. Everyone who knew Candy will never forget the joy she brought to their lives. She loved to cook every day, especially for the holidays. Her tamales and pumpkin and pecan pies were her favorite things to cook during the holidays.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Raymond Lopez
and will be lovingly remembered by her children:
Anastacio Joel Lopez,
Vanessa Lopez Coronado and her husband Joe Coronado,
Mark Lopez and wife Deirdre Lopez,
Martin Lopez;
grandchildren: Justin and Jessica Lopez,
Nicholas and Elissa Coronado (Todd Jefferson),
Austin Heard, Kellie Staples, Rachel Lopez (Eli Robles),
Brittany Lopez (David Singley);
great-grandchildren: Damian Lopez, Holden Jefferson,
Ruben Lopez, Angelina Rivera, Xavier Lopez;
numerous other nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends 7pm until 9pm Tuesday at Lakewood with a 7:30pm Rosary. Graveside services will be 10 am Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Restwood Cemetery.
Honorary Pall bearer will be Warren Sbrusch.
She was our biggest supporter at county fairs, stock shows, through high school and college graduations. She will never be forgotten.
