Moscow and Lillender Boykin in Colbert County, Alabama.
Junior's family left Alabama in 1950 and went to Leesburg, Florida where he went to school and worked in the Orange Groves. He moved back to Alabama to marry Patricia Lindsey. Junior then came to this area in 1959.
Junior worked most of his life in the off shore marine industry. He was employed at
Rush and Bryan and Freeport Yacht Marina. Junior owned Marine Services and was a partner at Brazosport Boat Leasing. Junior never really retired from the marine industry as he also worked for himself as marine broker.
He also owned M&M Trucking and retired from this company in 2000.
He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Boykin, his parents, 1 brother, Vernon Boykin, and 1 sister Georgia Phillips.
Junior is survived by his wife Cindi of Brazoria,
1 son: Junior Allan Boykin and wife Joni of Angleton,
2 step-sons: Carl Roberts and wife Teresa of Watauga, Texas,
William Harrison and wife Clarissa of West Columbia,
2 grandchildren: Jessica Caldwell and husband Gerad,
Justin Boykin and wife Katie,
7 step- grandchildren: Stephanie, Stone, Taylor, Paige, Brett, Cassidy, and Morgan;
3 brothers: Earl Boykin of Clute,
Danny Boykin and wife Rhonda of Freeport,
Freeman Boykin of Gaston, Alabama,
4 sisters: Virginia Creekmore of Russellville, Alabama,
Dorothy White of Leesburg, Florida,
Faye Mc Daniel and husband Freddie of Jackson, Mississippi,
Lillie Weatherford and husband Bill of West Columbia,
numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
The family will receive friends 9:30 are until service time at 10:30 am Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Lakewood Funeral Chapel.
