Sarah was a member of the Daughters of the American Republic, Angleton Republican Committee, and the Brazoria County Historical Museum.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Walter Mordello Munson, husbands, John David Broussard and Jack Edward Buice.
Sarah was survived by two children: Steve Broussard and fiancé' Ann Eastwood of Katy, Texas,
Mary Ella (Sissy) Pennington and husband Ed Pennington of Angleton,
4 grandchildren: Stephanie Jones and husband Chad,
Brent Broussard,
Michelle Lynn Clark and husband Marshall,
John Robert Wright and fiancé' Sarah Mc Cormick,
4 great grandchildren: Caroline and Henry Jones,
Dalton Warren Kubecka, and
Kelsey Kay Clark.
The family will receive friends 5pm until 8pm Thursday at Lakewood Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be 9 am Friday, September 30, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church of Angleton with Dr. Alan Trafford officiating. Interment will follow at the Munson Family Cemetery in Bailey's Prairie Texas.
Pall bearers will be: Paul L. Broussard, John Wright, Brent Broussard, Robert Pennington, Jeremy Pennington, George Munson, Chad Jones and Henry C. Paine. Honorary pall bearers: Jimmy Allan, Bobby Andrus, Carl Bell, Virgil Coleman, Frank Leever, Joe Pate, Pat Stoltenberg, and Jackie Martin.
The family requests donations to the Brazoria County Historical Society in Angleton, Texas.

Dear Steve and Sissy: We are so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. I read it this morning in the paper. Everytime I met your Mom she was always in a good humor and smiling. She was one of the women in the community I grew up around and we never failed to have a good time at your house. I will miss seeing her, but always recall her memory fondly. Gary and Dorothy Cotton
