Robert B. Wright was born July 13, 1926 in the Klein Community of Harris County, Texas to Robert Wright Sr. and Mildred T. Moore. He went to be with his Lord at his home in Oyster Creek, Texas on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011.
After graduating from Klein High School in 1943, Bob proudly served in the US Navy from 1943-1946. While stationed in Pasco, Washington, he met and married Elsie L. Tucker, his devoted wife of 66 years.
Bob and Elsie moved to Oyster Creek in 1946 where Bob worked for Dow Chemical Company for 30 years. Bob was a faithful member of Oyster Creek United Methodist Church, which he helped organize.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Restwood Cemetery.

Bob is survived by his wife Elsie; and four children, Natalie Wright, of Arlington, Carolyn Cannon (Clyde), of Houston, Herbert D. Wright, of Angleton, and James R. Wright (Carol), of Dickinson.

Bob had seven grandchildren, Julie Stoddard, of Angleton, Jana Frederick (Mike), of Pantego, William (Buddy) Gonzales (Jenifer), of Angleton, Chip Sepulvado (Jamie), of Dexter, MO, Jay R. Wright (Olivia), of Dickinson, John R. Wright (Sarah), of Angleton, and Patrick J. Wright (Mary Beth), of Lebanon, TN.

Bob was blessed with 12 great-grandchildren, Nicholaus and Jacob Frederick, Brooke, Ashley and Owen Stoddard, Elizabeth and Suzanna Gonzales, Grace, John, and Selah Sepulvado, and Colton and Mallory Wright.

I still have many fond memories of playing teenage baseball (Warriors vs Redskins)and playing for Bob that one summer in 1966. Godspeed to Jimmy, Herb, and the rest of his family.
