To the Haley family, I would like to express my sincere condolences. Bob was a very dedicated man at work and very dependable at work expecially during times of crises. He hardly ever took time off for himself and we were always glad when he was back in the office. He will truly be missed. Tina Harding

Matthew and Michelle, please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your Dad. I knew him almost from the time he and your Mom moved to Lake Jackson. Your Dad was a fine gentleman and one of the nicest people I have ever known. He was what we called at Dow a (SME) which means a Subject Matter Expert in the area of barge planning and scheduling, and he truly was. His job was a very high stress job and he handled like a true professional and he treated everyone he worked with kindness and respect. I know he got frustrated just as we all did on our jobs, but he was always in control and I never saw him mad. He talked about you guys enough to me that I knew he loved you very much and always wanted the best for you. May the Lord bless you, comfort you, and give you peace in the days ahead.

I worked with Bob when I was scheduling barges of petrochemicals and he was our sole go-to man when we needed barges moved anywhere along the Texas Gulf Coast and he was superb at his duties and seemed to always make things happen despite the obstacles before him. I enjoyed every minute working with Bob and I know he is with our Lord and in peace. He was a good man. My condolences to the family. Sincerely, Amelia Betros

To the Bob Haley Family, I met your Dad 33 years ago but, feel like I knew him for a life time. You Dad was a true friend that I will never forget, I have very fond memories of him. Not only did we spend weekend drills together but also chose to do our two week tours together several times, simply because we enjoyed each others company so much. Besides your Dad being a good friend to so many of us he was also a great and loyal soldier. He always did his job to the best of his ability. He was always humble but, proud. He was proud of you (his family) and adored your Mother. I am honored to have been his friend. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I am sorry we will not attend the funeral services. He and all of you are in our thoughts and prayers. Dave Cardosa

I will miss Bob. A great guy - had a tough time especially after Mary Ann passed away. Kept his sense of humor even so. He even engineered it so I beat him at golf, once. All his trials are now over, thank the Good Lord.

I worked with Bob in the Air Force Reserves for 17 years. Bob was not only a fine fellow officer, but a good friend as well. We shared many a Saturday meal together during our weekend drills. I have not known a finer man. I met Matt once when Bob brought him to one of our drills at Bergstrom AFB. I offer my heartfelt condolences to Matt and other surviving members of Bob's family.
