Michael Lynn Murphy, 55, of Lake Jackson, Texas went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 18, 2012 after a lengthy illness. He was born December 4, 1956 to Chester and Helen Murphy in West Memphis, Arkansas. He was a memeber of Calvary Chapel Church of Sargent, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his mother and sister Carolyn Brasher.
Mike is survived by his wife of 24 years, Darlene of Lake Jackson, TX; father Chester Murphy of Brazoria, 2 children: Marie Edinger and husband Andrew of Virginia, John Watson and wife Julia of Clute; 5 grandchildren: Victoria, Ian, Antiana, Kenzie and Akira; 1 sister, Sherry Morgason and husband Michael of Sargeant, Texas, his twin brother Pat Murphy and wife Thelma of Garner, Texas, brothers Phillip Murphy and wife Judy of Brazoria, Quincy Murphy and wife Rhonda of Garner and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was the kindest man that you ever met. He loved his crafts, work and fishing but most of all he loved his family. Babe, I will miss you so very much.

Darlene, You and your family are in our prayers. He was truly a very nice man and will be greatly missed. I still have the purple cross he made for me and will cherish it always. Take Care, Cathy Gibbs

Darlene, my heart goes out to you and your family. Mike was truly a wonderful man. He always had a smile on his face and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. He especially loved helping when it came to children in need. May the Lord wrap his loving arms around you and your family and help comfort you during this difficult time.
