Betty L. Giese, 77, of Brazoria passed away Monday, June 11, 2012 at Methodist Hospital in Houston. She was born October 10, 1934 in Huntington, Texas to Randolph and Stella Forrest. She was an area resident for the past 32 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brazoria. She was a talented artist, loved playing the piano, enjoyed gardening and was a great fisherman.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Francis Giese of Brazoria,
2 sons: Mark C. Giese and wife Deborah of Katy, Texas,
Dr. Stephen D. Giese and wife Kathy of Irving, Texas,
6 grandchildren: Curtis, Candace, Monet Giese of Katy, Texas;
twins, Ruby and Daniel, Katie Giese of Irving, Texas,
2 brothers: Hosea Forrest and wife Virginia of Huntington, Texas, and
Wayne Forrest and wife Barbara of Lufkin, Texas.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother Pete Forrest, 2 sisters, Jewell Forrest Russell, and Thelma Forrest Carrell.
The family will receive friends 2pm until service time Saturday at the church. Funeral services will be 3 pm, Saturday, June 16, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Brazoria with Rev. Greg Smith officiating and Mike Mills as the minister of music. Interment will follow at the Brazoria Cemetery. Pall bearers will be: Mark Giese, Dr. Stephen Giese, Curtis Giese and Daniel Giese.
Our love and appreciation is genuinely felt for all of the staff at IPH Hospice Care in Angleton.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Uncle Frank, Mark and Steve. Aunt Betty was such a wonderful and loving person who touched the lives of many. She will forever be remembered. God Bless!
