Elizabeth (Betty) A. Tichacek, 92, of Freeport passed away June 14, 2012 at Woodlake Nursing Home in Clute, Texas. She was born November 10, 1919 in East Bernard, Texas to Louis and Anna Macha. She was a resident of Freeport and Surfside since 1957 and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.


She was preceded in death by her husband Pete Tichacek, her parents, 2 grandchildren, 3 brothers and 1 sister.


Betty is survived by 2 sons: Harold Tichacek and wife Margie of Brazoria,


Donald Tichacek and wife Wanda of New Braunfels,


1 grandchild,


5 great grandchildren, and


1 brother: Edwin Macha and wife Elizabeth of East Bernard, Texas.


The family will receive friends 9 am until service time at the church. A rosary service will be held before the funeral at 10 am Saturday, June 16, 2012 at St. Mary's Star of the Sea Catholic Church with Deacon Wallace Shaw officiating. Interment will follow at Gulf Prairie Presbyterian Church in Jones Creek, Texas.
