Olen was born to Clara and John Henry Glaze in Panola County, Texas on February 6, 1942.
Olen was a member of Logan Missionary Baptist Church in Logan, Texas. Olen loved the Dallas Cowboys, hunting, fishing and camping out with his family. He loved having a big garden and kept his yard beautiful. He retired from many years of construction work.
Olen is preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 1 sister, 1 infant granddaughter, and infant twin great grandbabies.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, 9 months, 28 days, Elaine Gray Glaze;
By daughters:
Donnah Rouse and husband Rick of Rosharon,
Ronnah Williams and husband Bubba of Sweeny,
Kelly Terry and husband Kenneth of Anderson,
Alice Bates and husband Tommy of Brazoria;
Son:
Anthony Glaze and wife Leah of Rosharon;
15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren;
Twin brother Nolen Glaze and wife Lois of Pearland;
Sister Jean Thedford of Marshall;
Brother Weldon and wife Dean of Joaquin;
And by numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held to honor Olen on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. Walter Rouse officiating at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel.

I never had the privilege of meeting Mr. Olan, but throughout the years I've heard lots of great memories & stories about him from my dad(Robert Glaze)& my grand-father John. My heart is saddened to hear this great loss of such a wonderful man. I myself cheer for the Cowboys every week, it must run in the family..COwboys Nation!
