I just today, while searching for old friends, found that my dear, dear childhood friend, Mary Lee, had passed away. I am devastated that I did not know about it at the time so that I could attend the burial at Cade. Though I didn't get to see her over the past few years, I loved her dearly. my heart goes out to you, Joe Kenneth, and the rest of her family.

Mary Lee was a wonderful lady. I can remember her from my earliest years. She always made me laugh and I always felt that she loved me unconditionally, just as I loved her. Our families have been friends forever and I hope she is checking up on my dad up there in heaven, because I know without a doubt that's where she is. I will miss her, but cherish my memories of her forever. I look forward to seeing her again one day.

I am so sad to read of Mary's passing. I taught at Velasco Ele. from 1995 to 2000, and was privileged to call Mary a friend. I remember her sweet, gentle personality~she was an elegant lady, and a wonderful example to all of us. May God bless and comfort you all at this time.
