A viewing will be held at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel in Lake Jackson, Tx., at 5pm to 8pm on Friday, March 1st, 2013.
Procession to grave site will leave at 1pm on Sat. from Lakewood Funeral Home.
Leland was formerly a resident of Oyster Creek for 30 years and retired from Dow Chemical with 34 yrs. of service. Leland was also a member of the Methodist Church in Oyster Creek. Leland passed Sunday, February 24th,2013.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years of marriage, Alice Marie, two sons Gary and Nolan, Four grandchildren Julie, Rebecca, Ross, and Ryan. Two great grandchildren Jackson and Ashley.

I worked with Leland for many years in Magnesium Dept. He was one of the most soft soken people I have ever known, always a positive christian presence. He was also one of the hardest working men in magnesium, when he could be taking a break, he would stop to help other crews and always with the smile. He left an impression on me as I am sure he did others as well. I know I speak for many, many others in saying that we are so saddened by your loss of such a dear soul and role model for us all. God Bless you all as you cope with your loss, and you will. The more you trust and accept the word of God, the easier it is to deal with life, and the transitioning from this life to the next.
