She was predeceased by her husband of 41 years, Fred L. Langenkamp, and her son, Ronald L. Langenkamp.
Employed as a B.I.S.D. Special Education Secretary, and later as a people greeter at WalMart, she loved being social and seeing people smile. Belonging to the Potawatomi tribe, she had a fiery spirit, and was proud of her Native American heritage. Lucille was one of a kind, and the true definition of a lady. She loved to sew and crochet, as well as read her romance novels. She always persevered, and always remained hardworking, even insisting on mowing her own yard well into her 80s. A kind and selfless soul, she thrived on making her loved ones happy. She walked through life with grace, dignity, strength, and true appreciation.
She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Chalberg and Nancy Poehl; and her grandchildren, Megan Hays, Toby and Christopher Chalberg, Tyler, Tim, Zachary, Hannah, Jacob, and Sadie Langenkamp. She also has nine great grandchildren with two more due this year. Also surviving are her sister, Dorothy Bryan, along with her nieces, Vicki Bryan and Cindy Dougherty.
The family will be receiving friends from 5pm to 7pm on Tuesday at Lakewood Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Lakewood Funeral Chapel with her grandson Tyler Langenkamp officiating.
