Funeral services for Raul "Gord" Zavala of Freeport will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 25 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Lake Jackson.

Visitation will be Friday, May 24 at St. Michael's Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m.


Survivors include his spouse Gina Zavala of Freeport; his mother, Guadalupe Houston of Lake Jackson; his father, Raul Zavala Jr. of Fabens, Texas; grandparents, Ramon and Maria Luisa Lopez of Fabens, Texas; grandmother, Cande Zavala of Fabens, Texas; Shane Tidwell and wife, Caren of Rockport, Texas, James Tidwell of Pasadena, TExas, Colt Tidwell and wife, Laura of Jones Creek, Texas, Kimberly Koenig of Sweeny, Texas; siblings, Becky Loera and husband, Juan of CO., Manuel Lopez and wife, Sara of Clute, Texas, Melinda Rodrguez and husband Hector of Clute, Texas, LeaOra Earle and husband, Justin of Lake Jackson, Texas, Lisa Jones and husband, mat hew of Lake Jackson, Texas, Fred Houston of Lake Jackson; his best friend, Luis Hernandez of Freeport; numerous nieces, nephews, that loved their uncle Gord; and five grandsons who lovingly called him "Rara.: They will miss the best Wii partner you could have.


He will be missed by all who loved him, family friends, co-workers, as he truly was a wonderful man who was there when you needed him.
