I am very sorry for your loss Mr. Doss.
Although I did not know your dad, I know he was a fine man that worked hard his entire life to provide for his family and will be dearly missed.
As Mason's we are taught to live our lives so that the world will be a better place simply because we traveled through it. We use the symbols of Freemasonry as a guide to how we conduct ourselves in life and our white lambskin aprons are a symbol of an honorable life lived. Brother Doss has labored in the quarries of life, passed the test and has been raised to his glorious home in heaven with our Lord and Saviour.
May Brother R.L. Doss Rest in Peace and may the Good Lord comfort you and the family in this time of sorrow.

Our family is so sorry for your loss. We remember your parents so fondly and Mom (Phyllis Weems) talks about when your parents got married at their house in West Columbia. Dad (Jack Weems) knew your Dad from Rockdale. We visited with all of you when we were young and have many happy memories of your parents. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

As I look at this beatiful picture of Bob it reminds me of the last time I saw him. He was walking between our offices at Power 2, standing tall and proud in his grey striped coveralls, in that strong, determined gate, to get back to the shop. All the men I worked with admired him, the women adored him. He was so patient with us, could fix anything and did his job better than anybody else. While he would be working on something for us, he would talk frequently about his family and how proud he was of you guys and how much he loved all of you. My world has lost one of the best humans and a truly gentle man. I am so glad he had a long life and I hope it was good for him. I remember the first Spring I drove down Hwy 332 and didn't see his touch in the garden. My prayers were for him because I knew he must really be sick - or maybe just tired. We have thought of him often over the years and spoke of him, recalling some Bob Doss story. We will miss him and his garden forever. So long to our Buddy. Rest well. Imogene and Ronnie Griffin
