with so many others of his family and good friends he met along his way in the world. Carl was preceded in death by his mother, Donna, his father, George, and older brother Ed. Carl was born on June 17, 1961 in Abilene, TX. He spent a majority of his youth in El Paso where he graduated from Eastwood High School in 1979, during and after which he did auto-mechanical work and trained horses. He completed his studies at Alvin Community College earning his Certificate in Criminal
Justice and went on to earn many other certificates of study while working with The Texas Department of Criminal Justice. He continued working while pursuing a dream of becoming a peace officer by attending the police academy with Brazosport College. He was a reserve officer with the Surfside Beach Police since entering the department in 2000 while also working as a correctional officer with TDCJ since
his joining in 1983. Known for his big smile and wit, Carl loved his daughter and their animals, his family, and the open road he and Randi traversed whenever they could. He loved hanging with his buddies from TDC and local P.D.'s, and was a big lover of vehicles and their workings, the most recent being the Harley Davidson he loved to ride. He was also happily anticipating his first Caribbean Cruise with family. A memorial gathering is to be held Thursday, February the 27th of 2014 at 5pm at Stahlman Park located at 2100 Blue Water Highway, Surfside Beach, TX, 77451.
Carl is now with his mother, father, brother and extended family and will be tremendously missed by those left behind. We love and miss you so much already!

R.I.P. uncle Carl you were a stand up guy and the strongest man I had ever met. You set a great example for us grandchildren to look up to. You will be missed tremendously.

Thank you for taking care of me all these years you crazy redneck. I love you and miss you because as much as I was your world, you were mine. Save me a seat up in the big leagues, I gotta run the bases for a while.
