Frank Leonard Bohac, 84, passed away Sunday, M arch 9, 2014. Frank was born November 13, 1929 in Ammannsville, Texas to Vojtech and Marcella Bohac. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rose Marie Bohac; wife, Estelle Kaluza Bohac; daughter, Vickie Lynn Mobley; stepson, Darcy Pawelka; brother, Stanley Bohac; and sister, Agnes Mitchon.
He is survived by daughter, Theresa Bohac and fiance, Jason Krisher; son-in-law, Michael Mobley; brother, Ben Bohac (Mildred); son-in-law, Michael Mobley; stepsons, Darrell Pawelka (Glenda) and Dean Pawelka (Shirley), of Clute; stepson, Durwin Pawelka, of Lake Jackson; stepdaughter-in-law, Rachel Pawelka, of Clute; grandchildren, Douglas Mobley, Cynthia (Jeremy) Huddleston, Renee Pawelka (Cody), Ashley Pawelka, Chelsea (Pawelka) Erickson, Dane Pawelka, Jennifer Pawelka, Jonathan Pawelka, Stephen Forkum, Michael Forkum; and great-grandchildren, Mikayla Mobley, Logan and Eli Huddleston, C.J. Erickson, and Caleb, Madison, and Caimyn Madd ox.
Frank served in the United States Army, stationed in Germany, during the Korean Conflict. After completing his service, Frank went to work for Central Freight lines in Houston until he retired.
Frank was married to Rose Marie from 1956 until her death in 1991. Three years later he reconnected with childhood friend Estelle Kaulza Poole and they married on New Years Eve 1994.
Frank thoroughly enjoyed his retirement. He was a very active member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Lake Jackson where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council. He was also a Fourth Degree Knight at St. Mary's Star of the Sea. Frank was also a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Ch ur ch in Houston.
Frank enjoyed playing Tarock, gardening, and being a member of the Polka Lovers Club of America. He also worked every Wednesday at a food pantry when he wasn't helping with other charitable organizations.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 12 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Lake Jackson. Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at St. Michael's.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 13 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Lake Jackson with interment to follow at Restwood Cemetery in Clute.
Pallbearers will be Greg Bohac, Jerrel Bohac, Larry Bohac, Michael Mobley, Douglas Mobley and Jonathan Pawelka.
Honorary pallbearers are Jerome Bartos, Gilbert Bohuslav, Mark Dusek, Henry Gretschel, Tony Hlavaty, Ted Kaspar, David Koranek, Tom Loftus, John Respondek, Randy Viktorin and Glenn Warny.
The family would like to express their thanks to Creekside Health Care for their wonderful care and kindness.
In lieu of flowers, Frank requested that donations be made to Polka Lovers Club of Te xas Museum, Hoelscher Haus P.O. Box 72, LaGrange, Texas 78945

Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole family at this most difficult time. Frank and Harry used to carpool to Central and they had some good times together. They always enjoyed visiting at the dances or picnics. He was such a good man. God Bless You.
