Luciana Cesarini Farrar, 89, of Lake Jackson, passed away to her new life on June 20, 2014.
Luciana was born June 1, 1925 in Scarperia, Italy to parents Ugo and Pierina Cesarini. In 1944 she met David Joshua Farrar, an American soldier stationed in Italy during WWII. They fell in love and married in Scarperia on April 1, 1946. Luciana arrived in this country August 1, 1946 and she and D.J. settled in Clute, Texas. From this union came four children: Danny David who lives in Tallahassee, Florida,
Theresa Luciana of Santa Fe, Texas, Steve Michael and Mark Adrian both of Lake Jackson.

Luciana worked 18 and half years at the Dow Chemical Company as a security receptionist and retired December 30, 1992. She received many honors for her involvement in civic affairs and organizations in Clute and Lake Jackson. In the year 2000 she was awarded the Extraordinary Civic Dedication Award.
Luciana's commitment to Habitat for Humanity and as a pink lady at Brazosport Hospital was very satisfying to her.

In addition to her four children Luciana is survived by: Danny's wife Ginny and their son Joshua; Theresa's three daughters: Amber and husband Pete Gareri, Angelyn and husband Matt Cooper, and Alana and husband Chris Wallen; Steve's three children: Ashley and husband Kent Horstman, Justin Farrar and Hailey Farrar; Mark and Suzanne's two daughters Chelsea Farrar and Jennifer and husband Nick Hall. She is also survived by her sister, Mirella and brother in-law Earl Sherman of Lake Jackson, her brother Nick and sister-in-law Elena Cesarini of Lake Jackson. Luciana has four great grandchildren: Jadyn Chancellor, Noah Wallen, Cayleigh Cooper, and Olivia Hall. Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews, and their families.

Rosary services will be 6pm Monday at Lakewood Chapel with Father Jim Lynes officiating. Visitation will follow at 7pm until 9pm. Funeral services will be 10am Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Lakewood Funeral Chapel with Rev. Debbie Measells officiating. Interment will be at Restwood Cemetery.

Pall bearers will be: Bobby Williams, Buster Farrar, Conrad Moody, James Cesarini, Pete Gareri, and Brett Simpson.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity, American Heart Association, or the charity of your choice.

What a grand lady! I remember walking and riding my bike to Farrar's grocery back in the day. I know she will look down on all the family, point that finger, and keep an eye on each of you. God Bless you.

A wonderful woman,a good friend and I always thought of her as part of my family. I remember when she came to Clute and worked at Farrar's Grocery, with my mother Willene. She would take a phone order and write it in English & Italian. It's sad to know she is no longer laughing and smiling, she was always so happy.

So sorry to hear about your loss. I feel like she became part of our family, seeing her everyday at the nursing home. I never knew if she understood what I would say to her, but I would always tell her "Hi!" and tease her that I was going to "steal" her purple blanket. Sometimes she would almost smile. Now she can be healthy and beautiful, like in her picture, again. She can be a guardian angel to all of us. Keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers. Kim

"With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: ''Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.'' And the One seated on the throne said: ''Look! I am making all things new.'' Also, he says: ''Write, because these words are faithful and true.'' - Rev. 21:3-5. I am very sorry for your loss. May God's Word comfort you and your family. Sincerely, Meryl
