Funeral services for Verna Helen Taylor, age 82, of Oyster Creek, TX, will be held at 10:30 on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Lakewood Funeral Chapel with Mike Browning officiating.
Interment will be held at Restwood Cemetery. A wake will be held at Lakewood Funeral Chapel.
The family will receive friends at Lakewood from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2015.

Verna was born and raised in Bremond, TX, on July 1, 1933, to Lige J. Warhol and Rosie J. "Galic" Warhol.

Verna was a master gardener and flowerer and loved showing them to her family and friends. She also loved cooking for her family and loved to watch golf as well.

Verna was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She loved her family very much and cherished the time she spent with them.

Verna Taylor is survived by her children, Robert Taylor, and Betty Smith, of Oyster Creek, TX; grandchildren, Heather Smith, of Oyster Creek, TX and Russell Smith, of Lake Jackson, TX; great-grandchildren, Lillien Smith, William Smith and Abigail Johnson; five sisters, Mary Wagoner, of Wharton, TX, Christine Bozant, of New Caney, TX, Jodie Copeland, of Copperas Cove, TX, Margaret Bond, of Trinity, TX, and Dorothy Dwyer, of Irving, TX; four brothers, Frank Warhol (deceased), of Houston, TX, William "Willie" Warhol, of Wharton, TX, Louis Warhol, of Bremond, TX, and Leonard Warhol, of Bremond, TX.

Pallbearers will be her grandson, Russell Smith, nephews, Craig Warhol, David Dwyer, P.J. Bond, Chad Young, and Jason Turner.

Honorary pallbearers will be nephews Greg Bozant and Aaron Young.
