Emily Rhodes Beard , born May 28, 1991 in Lake Jackson, TX., went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2015.

Emily graduated suma cum laude from Oral Roberts University on May 2014. She married her college sweetheart and the love of her life, Daniel Beard in June 2014 and the couple made their home in Grand Rapids, MI. Emily loved reading and learning from a young age and had plans to pursue graduate studies in the field of Library Science.

Emily was loved by everyone who knew her for her quiet, gentle spirit, her kindness, humor, and great strength and courage in the face of adversity.

She loved God with all her heart and depended on him every day. During her last days, Emily shared that she was at peace and ready to be with Jesus.

It was a joy and privilege to know Emily and she will be greatly missed by her many friends and family. Emily is survived by her husband, Daniel Beard, parents John and Sara Rhodes, brother Nathan Rhodes and sister Lindsay Stephens.

The public is welcome to say goodbye to Emily at the visitation Friday evening at Family Life Church from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services for Emily will be held at Family Life Church on Saturday at 10:00 a.m., graveside services following.
