Aristeo Ochoa Carranza, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at approximately 2:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2016, at Lakewood Funeral Chapel. The family will received friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 pm.

Aristeo was born the son of Hermilo Carranza and Cleotilde Ochoa Carranza on October 14, 1946, in Dilley, Texas. He was a graduate of Dilley High School, Dilley, Texas, and a Veteran of the United States Army , having served from 1967 to 1970.

He was also an Officer and Administrator for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice from 1976 to 2001. He married Clara Torres on July 18, 1970, and was the father of Aristeo Carranza Jr., Ruben Carranza and Mirella Carranza McIntire.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Clara Carranza; three children, Aristeo Carranza Jr., Ruben Carranza, and Mirella McIntire; two grandchildren, Ian Alexander Carranza and Brianna Nicole Carranza.
