Sonita Mae Wolfe Scorza "Maw Maw"

1932-2016

Sonita Mae Wolfe Scorza, age 83, entered into eternal life on Monday March 7, 2016 at her home. Daughter of the late Celita Marie and Clarence Wolfe, Sonita was the loving mother to Scheryl Scorza, Marcel Scorza, Trina Scorza and Norma Jefferson (Ron). Beloved sister of Don Wolfe, Celita Ann Wolfe, and the late Lydia Wolfe. She leaves to cherish her memory 5 grandchildren, Wayne Scorza(Chanda), Rene Scorza, Shawn Scorza, Jaime Aaron Henderson (Marc) and Nia Pittman. Also, 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and 1 great great child proceeded in death. She also was the aunt to Tianna Gaspard (James) and Ian Daniel Wolfe.


A native of New Orleans, Maw Maw lived in Lake Jackson, TX for the past 10 years. She was a lover of New Orleans cuisine, jazz music, dancing and she never met a person she wouldn't feed. Maw Maw will be greatly missed by her family, friends and her care giver Keisha Harris.


Visitation will be held Saturday March 12, 2016 at Lakewood Funeral Chapel, 98 N. Dixie Dr. Lake Jackson, TX. from 5:30 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.
