Clarence Monroe Coufal

Clarence Monroe Coufal was born February 12, 1937 to loving parents, Emil Mack Coufal and Mary Martha Prazak in Caldwell, TX. On July 6, 2016 he was welcomed into heaven by his Lord Jesus Christ. He married his childhood sweetheart Naulene Sandel on May 27, 1957 and together they began their lifelong residency in the Brazosport Area until her passing in 2012.

Clarence and Naulene have 2 children, Pamela Coufal of San Antonio, TX and Kevin Coufal (Tina Smirch) of Lake Jackson. He has two grandchildren, Corbin Coufal of San Antonio, TX and Kelsey Coufal of Houston, TX. He and Naulene were "Nanny" and "PawPaw" to many others. His extended grandkids include Angela Kay Andrews, Jamison Keith, and Ashlyn and Alyssa Toston.

Clarence grew up on a farm in Burleson county, served in the U.S. Army National Guard of Texas, retired from Gulf States, remarried in 2013 to Gerrie Baccus and they are members of the Family Life Church of Lake Jackson. On one side, Clarence was an avid hunter and fisherman, the other side, he loved his time spent in the garden. As always, he mastered them all. He never met a stranger, and loved to joke around, especially with the kids. He is liked by many, loved by more and will be missed by us all. Our family cordially invites you to visit Saturday, July 9, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be Sunday, July 10, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Chapel.
