Richard Calvin Warren
8/17/1956 - 9/4/2016

Richard Calvin Warren, 60, of Jones Creek, TX succumbed to complications of diabetes on September 4, 2016. He was surrounded by family at the time of his passing. Richard is survived by his better half of 38 years, Pamela Warren; daughters, Allison Warren-Bugger and Melissa de la Haye; sons-in-law, Steven Bugger and Sean de la Haye; grandchildren, Jessica Skenderi, Zachary Bugger, and Rosalind and Theodore de la Haye; and great-grandchildren, Kain and Brody Bugger; father, Calvin Warren; sisters, Patricia (Patti) Wolters and Barbara Davis; brothers-in-law, John Wolters and Michael (Mickey) Davis; and many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Warren (nee Saralla); and his beloved fur babies, Mindy and Tootsie Rose. Richard was a funny, loving man, father, and grandfather with a heart of gold. He was the owner of General Data Services, a computer repair company, which serviced the people of Brazoria County for over 30 years. He spent the end of his career with the wonderful people of The First National Bank of Lake Jackson. Richard had interests in a great number of things, his two fondest were science and debate. Richard loved the experience of life, had a great compassion for others, and never in his life met a stranger, as the staff of Stewart's Grocery in Brazoria would tell you. A special thank you to the staff of Brazosport Regional Hospital (CHI St. Luke's) for their support and great care. Richard would have also liked to thank Doctors Anil Sinha, Mark Hinkle, and Corey Anderson for their long term devotion to his care, for being the kind of doctors that heard their patients and were willing to occasionally "think outside the box." A memorial will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., with services to start at 3 p.m., on Saturday, September 10, 2016. The memorial will be held at the Clute Event Center, located at 100 Park View Drive in Clute Municipal Park . Donations can be made to the SPCA in lieu of gifts or flowers.
