Kenneth Earl Harper

Kenneth Earl Harper, 81, of Clute, Texas went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, September 19, 2016. Kenneth was born on February 28, 1935 in Caldwell, Texas to William and Tilda Harper. He worked for Dow Chemical for almost 45 years and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 564.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories wife of 61 years, Dana Harper; sister, Joyce Peters and her husband, Eldie, of Bryan, Texas; children, Debra Jones and husband, Randy, of Lake Jackson, Jimmy Harper and wife, Rebecca, of Lake Jackson; daughter-in-law, Nancy Harper; treasured grandchildren, Jennifer Gallion, Jesse Harper, Jeremy Harper, Mandy Mullins, Rachel Harper, and Trent Jones, who he now walks with on streets of gold; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Bernice Ballard; his son, Ronnie Harper; and his grandson, Trent Jones.

He was a man who will be remembered for his generosity, his kindness, and most of all the love that he had for his family. He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Home in Lake Jackson on Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and funeral services on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Lakewood Funeral Home Chapel.
