Linda Faye Cavanaugh

Linda F. Cavanaugh (Hutchings), age 77, lived in Freeport, TX and passed away on September 30, 2016, at Chelsea Gardens, Missouri City, TX. She was born February 15, 1939 in Fredericktown, Missouri, to Harry Hutchings and Frieda LaPlant Hutchings. She graduated valedictorian of her class from Mine LaMonte High School.
She accomplished many things in her life, but her greatest quality was the time she spent with her family; her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and friends. We will all cherish the memories, think of her often and mi s s her dearly. Back in the day, she loved to race drag cars, draw, paint; she owned her own craft and hobby shop in Brazoria where she sold hand-crafted items. She loved gambling, just mention the word and she was ready. To know her was to love her. She was a silver-haired lady with a golden smile. Her last places of employment were Jerry's Food King and Frakey's Cleaners. She loved her customers and they loved her as well. She had five children, 13 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother, Frieda Hutchings (LaPlant); father, Harry Hutchings; brothers, Bob and Harry; granddaughter, Jonnie Lynn Gaines; son, L.C. Thomure, Jr. (Pete); daughter-in-law, Rhonda Kay Thomure (Davenport); L.C. Thomure Sr., George F. Gaines, Thomas Amason, Johnny Stinnett, Don Williams, Joe Rosener, Ronald Cavanaugh; and numerous friends and others. A Memorial Service will be held at the Clute Event Center on Saturday, October 8, 2016, at 2:00 p.m.
