Rebecca "Becky" Jane Featherhoff

A memorial service for Rebecca "Becky" Featherhoff will be held on Wednesday, March 8th, at 10:00 AM at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel. She was taken to her heavenly home Thursday, March 2, after a very brief illness. Becky was born October 14, 1929, in Teague, Texas, to AJ and Pearl Dunaway. She was one of 6 siblings: William Mead, Myra Mead, Vivian Mead, Jack Mead, and Dwayne Dunaway. All preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son, Cody Queen and Jay's grandson Sam Wigington. She moved to Freeport in 1940 and graduated from Freeport High School in 1948. The family then moved to Houston. She lived a full life living in various parts of the world. In 2003, she married Joseph "Jay" Featherhoff and has lived in Brazoria County ever since. She is survived by her husband, Jay, his children, Susan Spoor (John) of Angleton, Ray Featherhoff (Cherri) of Satellite Beach, Florida, and JoBeth Wigington of Georgetown. She is also survived by his grandchildren: Jeff Spoor (Erin) and their son Hunter, James Spoor (Kasey Doyle) and their daughter Madison, and Jill (Travis) Carney and their son Bradyn. In addition she is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank Kim Mobley and Mary Williams for their continued friendship and help in times of need. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to any charitable organization of your choice.
