Funeral Services for Frances Ann McDaniel, age 81, of Clute, TX, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Lakewood Funeral Chapel, Lake Jackson, TX, with Andrew McDaniel officiating. Interment will be held at Ramah Cemetery in Tenaha, TX. The family will receive friends at Lakewood Funeral Chapel from 9 until 10:30 on Thursday, April 6, 2017. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper L. McDaniel; son, James Arnold McDaniel; father, AD Grimsley; mother, Camilla Hall Crawford and Forrest Crawford; grandsons, Barry Wayne McDaniel and David Lee McDaniel; and siblings, Johns L. Grimsley, Mary Grimsley, Bill Grimsley. Survivors include her son, Lee McDaniel and wife, Virginia, of Frisco, TX and Andrew McDaniel and wife, Tammy, of Angleton, TX; grandchildren, Mandy Meador and husband, Blake, Dana McDaniel, Christopher McDaniel and wife, Jessica, Gabrielle McDaniel and Aaron McDaniel; great-grandchildren, Tylor Comley and wife, Skyler, Morgyn Comley and Elijah Meador; great great-grandchildren, Ryder and Kylor; siblings, Margaret Bowlin, James Ray Grimsley, Nancy Keller, Forrest Crawford Jr., and Mamie Ann Crawford; and many nephews and nieces. On September 24, 1954, Frances married the love of her life, Jasper, at Ramah Baptist Church in Tenaha, Texas. In the 60's, they moved to Clute, TX, where they raised their three boys, Lee, James, and Andrew. Later in life, Frances became a dog mom to her beloved Alaskan Malamute, Texie. Frances, who was also know to many as Granny Frances and Mrs. Mac, was a strong and hard-working woman. Her life-long trade as an expert seamstress and pride of country led her to serve many in her community. She especially enjoyed serving first responders and the K9 unit doing alterations and special projects. Neighbors and friends will remember Frances' generous and giving nature along with her famous homemade pies and jellies. Her family will always remember her as a loving mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all.
