Canuto Centeno Corona

Canuto Centeno Corona of Freeport, Texas went to be with the lord on February 16, 2021 at the age of 95. He is preceded in death by parents Francisca and Joaquin Corona, his brother, Raul Corona and daughter Alicia. He is survived by his beautiful wife Maria Corona, their children, Mike(Kim) Corona, Rosa (Larry) McDonald, Gloria (Isidro II)Salas, Belia Vannest, Frank (Margarita) Corona, Lupe (Lou) Acampora, Irene Monclova and siblings Rafael, Salomon, Rita, Leo, Johnny and Yolanda.

His grandchildren/great-grandchildren include: Michael Jason Corona, Brian Jason(Jamie)Corona, their son Alexander, Larry McDonald Jr, his son's Rickie and B.T. McDonald, Enrique(Henry)McDonald, his children Nicholas and Emily McDonald, Isidro III (Tammie) Salas,his children Maddie, Olivia and Andrew, Nikki (Mike)Roger, their children Remie, Royce and Angelle, Melissa (Chris) Tillman their child Mathias, Lucas (Katie) Corona, Kristina (Shane)Zeringue, their children Isaac, Ivan and Isabelle, Rachael Vannest and her children, Cain, Noah Jr. and Alivia, Frank Corona Jr his wife Becky and their children Brandon and Logan, Melanie Corona, her son Gabriel, Valerie (Pablo) Moreno and their son Noah Moreno, Ryan Corona, Gina Acampora, Anna Acampora, Amanda(Nick) Castro their children Reese and Landon Castro, James K Monclova Jr, Candice D Monclova.

He was born on August 19, 1925 in Guanajuato, Mexico. In 1947, he married the love of his life, Maria Lucas-Solis. In 1954, he courageously moved his family to Freeport, with a hope of a better life.

Canuto lived his life as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. Through his faith and determination, he provided for his family without excuse and would always show compassion, patience, imagination and a work ethic that we all try to mimic to this day. He was an avid fisherman, a bird enthusiast, an all-around outdoorsman and an amazing craftsman. With all the life lessons that he taught us and the sacrifices that he made, Canuto made a lasting impression on us all. We will continue honoring him by keeping his spirit alive as we continue to pass along the same wisdom to our children.
