Juanita Soirez
1/5/1932 - 3/1/2022
Juanita passed away at age 90, in her home in Buna, Texas on March 1st, 2022. She was surrounded by family during this time. Juanita was the daughter of Refujio Linares and Guadalupe Ramirez Linares. She was born on January 5, 1932 in Mira Mar, Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico. On June 21, 1957, she married Lovelace J. Soirez Sr in Cameron County, Texas. Together they were blessed with eight children. Juanita was a devoted wife and a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. She was a housewife most of her life, although there were times in her life that she did retain employment where she worked long and hard to provide a good and happy life for her family. One of her many special qualities was her unselfishness, as she always put her family in front of herself. She loved attending all her children's and grand children's school activities, sports activities, graduations, and weddings, even when her health problems tried to interfere. Her love for God and her family was shown throughout her life by her example. There was nothing she wouldn't do for her family, but her encouragement to always strive to better their lives was always what she emphasized the most. In her eyes, her family was the best she had. She enjoyed cooking, drawing, singing, music, dancing, gardening, and reading her scriptures. She loved to laugh and at times, was a little mischievous, especially with those that she loved. She was also a very giving person and was always very welcoming in her home, wanting to cook for anyone that entered her front door. Juanita is preceded in death by her parents, Refujio and Guadalupe Linares, her in-laws Onoire Soirez and Marie Hebert, her husband Lovelace J. Soirez Sr., sons Fidencio Linares and Javier Barrera, granddaughter Amber N. Salazar, brother-in laws Murphy Soirez, Jay Soirez, John Meaux and sister-in-law Doris B. Soirez. Surviving family members include sons Lovelace J. Soirez Jr. (wife Suzie) of Richmond, Tx, Richard F. Soirez (wife Lucy) of Lake Jackson, Tx, daughters Elaine Soirez Doucet (husband Jessie) of Carlyss, La., Delma Barrera Flores (husband Steve) of Oyster Creek, Tx., Georgina Soirez Salazar (husband Arthur) of Lake Jackson, Tx., Marie Soirez Haynes (husband John) of Buna, Tx..
