Dolores Pimlott Weiss

Dolores Pimlott Weiss entered the kingdom of Heaven on February 1, 2024 at the age of 84. Dolores was born on November 12, 1939 in Washington DC, last residing in Lake Jackson, Texas.
Dolores was a loving mother to four daughters and a doting ''Nana'' to 8 grandchildren with extended family and friends affectionately claiming her Nana. Dolores is survived by her two daughters Sandra Rousseau (Husband Tim) and Sheri Manning; grandchildren Chad Rousseau, Don Wilson III, Trenton Rousseau (Wife Rose), Jonathan Pimlott-LeBlanc, Christian Pimlott-LeBlanc, Brandon Pimlott-LeBlanc, Isabella Manning and Gabriella Manning along with 3 sisters, 2 brothers and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her two daughters Melissa Pimlott Wilson and Marilyn Pimlott-LeBlanc, and her parents Comer and Lorine Mumford.
Dolores grew up in a Baptist home for children in Bethesda, MD. Being the caring, hardworking woman she was, she quit school early to help care for her younger siblings. Dolores married and made homes in Lubbock, Lake Jackson, and later raised four girls in Sweeny TX where she was a homemaker. She loved her job at Stewarts Bakery and would often talk about decorating cakes, baking bread, cookies, donuts while serving lunch to customers and school students. She always saw the good in people. She showed her love through homemade Sunday dinners, baking and cooking for her family and her daughter's friends. She had a very giving heart and always made sure everyone's needs were met whether that was taking in family or friends for a place to live and making sure they had enough food on their plate.
While living in Houma, Louisiana, she cared for her father-in-law, her daughter and grandson. Later moving to Lake Jackson, her door was again open to anyone in need. She loved to travel to Branson and made many trips to Arkansas to see her grandsons. She was thrilled to take that car ride to Louisiana to visit her granddaughters. Again, it was all about family. She loved Englebert Humperdink and attended many of his concerts. Her hobbies were playing canasta, pogo games, listening to music, and watching home renovation and game shows.
Dolores attended Second Baptist church for a few years in Lake Jackson as well as often visiting Destiny Church in Clute with her family. Throughout her last three years of medical struggles, her many doctors took good care of her and she appreciated each one of them. She remained in good spirits, had a positive attitude, not complaining, fighting until the end. When God decided to call her home, she took her last breath. She is now healed and at peace in the arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, reunited with her loved ones. She was loved by many and will always have a special place in our hearts.
In her honor, a Memorial service will be Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Destiny Church, 211 S. Lazy Lane, Clute at 1:00 p.m.
