Tommie Logan Turner

Tommie Logan Turner, 87, passed away peacefully September 2, 2024 in Lake Jackson. She was born July 26, 1937 in Henderson, Tx. She worked for Dow Chemical mail room for years and BISD lunch services. She loved to read, travel, and paint. She never sat still. Always camping, cruising or doing a project of some sort.

She is survived by her son Daniel E. Sargent, Sr. and wife Jan of Karnack, TX; daughter, Robin S. Turner of Brazoria, TX; Daughter-in-law Elizabeth Sargent of Angleton, TX; Sister Patti Avery and husband Bob of Hampton, VA; 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Turner; three sons, Dexter J. Sargent, III, Donald E. Sargent and Kevin L. Sargent; Daughter-in-law Vicki Sargent; twin brother Thomas Odom; Sister Irma Jane Benge; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A sunset Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 6:00 PM at Surfside Jetty County Park, 101 Parkview Road, Surfside Beach, TX with grandson James Sargent officiating. In lieu of flowers, she requested donations be made to your local library.
