Glenn Galloway

Glenn Galloway, age 86, passed away at home on Monday, May 23, 2011.
Born in Leggett, Texas, Glenn later moved to Livingston, Texas. He attended Texas A&M University and earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict. After graduating from college, Glenn worked for Lufkin Foundry and later for Dow Chemical Company in the Power Systems with service in Freeport, Texas and Stade, Germany. He was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church, and the FUMC of Lake Jackson since 1953. Glenn was active in the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years, was a Master Mason and Past Master of Lake Jackson Lodge 1317.
Glenn enjoyed volunteering for many years at Brazosport Cares Food Pantry and for Literacy Volunteers of America (LVA-READ).
Glenn is survived by his loving wife of more than 32 years, Toni Galloway;
By son George Galloway of Aledo and his wife Theresa,
Daughter Jeri Cravens of Upper Marlboro, Maryland
Step-son Steven Lepper and his wife Debbie of Midland, Michigan
and Step-daughter Gina Lepper of Spring,
Sister Carey Eileen Cook of Livingston,
Brother-in-law Charles Lubowski and his wife Evelyn of Brenham,
And numerous much loved grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Honorary Pallbearers will be:
James Harold McClammy, Jimmy English, Isaac Sanchez, Bob Laramore,
Dick Burrell, Charles Lubowski and Randy Taylor.
The family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service time at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28th at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel, located at 98 N. Dixie Drive in Lake Jackson, TX.
The family would like to express their gratitude to all of the hospitals, doctors, nurses, health care workers and to Hospice Care Team that cared for Glenn during the past few years.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in Glenn's name to the Society of St. Stephen at First United Methodist Church of Lake Jackson or the charity of your choice.
