Billie Jean Mayse

Billie Jean Mayse passed into the Creator's hands on August 10, 2011. She was born to Roy and Lena Durant in 1927 in Dimmitt, Texas.
Billie was dedicated wife, mother, sister and MiMi. She worked with Bill for many years on the business end of their veterinarian practice in Freeport, Texas. Billie was a homemaker known for her sewing, quilting, cooking, and canning abilities. "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey. You'll never know dear how much I love you."
Her parents, Roy and Lena Durant; along with sister Maxine Kondrotas precede her passing.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Bill Mayse and their four children, Terry Mayse of California, Dr. Richard Allen Mayse (Helen), of South Lake, Sarah Breen (Dr. Pat Breen) of Georgetown, and Carol Stanford (Greg) of Brazoria; along with ten grandchildren, Molly (Jeff) Coyne, Chris (Kelsey) Mayse, Jeff Mayse, Jon Mayse, Richard Mayse, Laura Eickstead (Peter), LeighAnn Breen (Andy Cutting), Elizabeth Breen, James Stanford, Mark Stanford; four great-grandchildren, Sophie Eickstead, Ella Eickstead, Neirin Constantine, Nathaniel Mayse; her sister, Donna Walser; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating Billie's time on earth will be held at Lakewood Funeral Chapel on Sunday, August 14, 2011. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. with funeral services at 2 p.m.
Special thanks to Helping Hearts and Hospice and Oak Village Nursing Care for their exceptional care for a lady that quickly came to love her "adopted family".
