Martha Jo Pyles

Martha Jo Pyles, 88, of Lake Jackson, passed away October 3, 2011. She was born February 17, 1923.

Martha loved to play tennis, she loved to travel, read and sing. Even though she had no children of her own, she enjoyed their company very much. Martha was also a member of First Baptist Church of Lake Jackson, and was employed with Dow Chemical for over 40 years.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, F. B. and Lola Land; her husband, O. E. (Ernie) Pyles; and sister, Ruth Thomas.

Left to cherish her memories are her niece, Cecile and husband John Roberts; great-nephew, Clay Garrett; and special friends, and caregivers, Melissa Wax, Donna Haynes and Faye Lewis.

Visitation only will be held October 5, 2011, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Chapel. Interment will be held at Woodside Cemetery, Grand Saline, Texas.
