Nell Lorene Burridge, 79, of Freeport, Texas, died on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at Memorial Hermann Hospital surrounded by her husband, children and grandchildren.

Nell was born June 7, 1932, in Houston, Texas, daughter of the late Juanita W. Merrill Ross and Leslie A. Ross.

Nell is survived by her husband of 52 years, Charles Edward Burridge Jr.; and daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Stuart Herbst, Brenda and Tim Kelley, Pamela Girouard, Lori and Mike Sorrell; grandchildren, Cody and Emelda Beasley, Carley and Paul Rydberg, John Kelley and Angie Obenhaus, Brookes and Clifford Vandergrift, Ross Burridge Herbst, Nicolette and Tyler Samuels, Tra J. Girouard, Sonny and James Dye, Joshua Girouard, Michael Joe Sorrell; great-grandchildren, Drake Beasley, Alston Vandergrift, Colton Vandergrift, Peyton Beasley, Davyn Girouard Samuels, Timothy Crawford, Julie Ann Vandergrift and Colene Crawford. Nell is also survived by her sisters, Shirley Bailey, of La Grange, Texas and Margaret and Ray Neyland, of Houston, Texas.

Nell's family will receive friends at Lakewood Chapel, Lake Jackson, Texas on Sunday, November 6, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Lake Jackson, Texas on Monday, November 7, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. Monsignor Leo Wleczyk will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Cody Beasley, Billy Crawford, James Dye, Joshua Girouard, Tra J. Girouard, Ross Burridge Herbst, John Kelley, Paul Rydberg, Tyler Samuels, Michael Joe Sorrell, and Clifford Vandergrift.
