Heather Louise Smith

Heather Louise Smith passed peacefully from this life on the 13th of December, 2011 into life eternal in the presence of her Lord and Savior. She was born in Ankara, Turkey on December 17, 1963 where her parents, Gale and Murray Smith, were stationed. She was the apple of her parents' eyes. Heather was reared in Lake Jackson, graduated from Brazoswood High School in 1982, and attended Sul Ross University in Alpine, Texas. Subsequently, she received her Associates Degree in Business from Brazosport College.

Heather was blessed with inner and outer beauty, infectious laughter, an outgoing personality, a caring and generous heart, and sensitivity to the needs of others. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Lake Jackson, TX and will be missed by those who loved her. Even though she passed away at a young age, all are comforted by the knowledge that she knew the Lord, loved Him, and had faigh in Him who dies for our sins.

Heather was preceded in death by her father, Millard Murray Smith of Lake Jackson, Texas and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Ilvonen of Massachusetts and Mr. and Mrs. Millard M Smith, Sr. of Freeport, Texas. Survivors include her mother, Gale Ilvonen Smith of Lake Jackson, Texxas; aunt and uncle Gail and Jan Ilvonen of Massachusetts; aunt Jean Ilvonen Helbing of Florida and many cousins.
