Pat E. Mc Intire, 83, formerly of Lake Jackson, Texas died Monday, March 19, 2012 at Universal Hospice in Fort Worth, Texas. Pat was born April 21, 1928 in Freeport, Texas to Aubrey and Ada Eads. She attended Freeport High School where she graduated as valedictorian in 1946. There she met and married the love of her life, Jerry Mc Intire in 1947 and had 53 wonderful years of marriage until Jerry's death in 2000. They moved to Lake Jackson in 1951 and were members of the First United Methodist Church. Pat worked for Freeport Sulphur Company before joining Dow Chemical where she worked for 35 years. After retiring she became a pink lady at Brazosport Memorial Hospital in Lake Jackson later becoming president of the chapter. This was one of the greatest joys of her life next to her family.
Pat moved to North Richland Hills, Texas in 2004 where she resided at the Wellington Retirement Community. There she was truly loved by all who met her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerry Mc Intire, and a granddaughter Stacey Lee Guest.
Pat is survived by 2 children: Jerry Mc Intire, Jr. and wife Nancy of Hurst, Texas,
Laura Lee Solomon and husband Jim of Fort Worth, Texas,
3 grandchildren: Bret Mc Intire and wife Amy, Azle, Texas,
Kris Pessarra and wife Stephanie, Tampa, Florida,
Ryan Pessarra and wife Janice, Forney, Texas,
2 great grandchildren: Trevor Mc Intire and Lucas Pessarra,
2 sisters: Blanche Mc Dougal of Lake Jackson,
Jane Marek and husband, Steve of Houston, Texas, special niece, Karen New and husband Gary, and daughter, Candice,
and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends 6pm until 8pm Thursday at Lakewood Chapel. Funeral services will be 2 pm Friday, March 23, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church of Lake Jackson with Pastor Charles Geller officiating.
Pall bearers will be her 3 grandsons, great grandson, Trevor, nephews, Gary New, and Robert Hosack.
Donations may be made in Pat's memory to the American Heart Association.
