Mildred Louise Perry

Mildred "Mawmaw" Perry, 88, of Clute, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 20, 2012. She is now celebrating Eternal Life and dancing on streets of Glory while singing with an Angelic host in heaven. On February 10, 1924, a beautiful baby girl was born to Casper and Zelma Smith in Dallas, Texas.
She was a teacher to those who searched to know the truth, an evangelist to those who have not heard, a preacher to those who needed to hear the word and a prophet to those who needed direction. She was sweet spirited and faithful to her Heavenly father and ministry. She was devoted to her loving husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was filled with love for God and was upheld with her integrity. She was a great inspiration and touched many lives.
She was preceded in death by parents, Casper and Zelma Smith; her husband of 70 years, Clarence Perry; her son, Clarence "Ronnie" Perry, numerous relatives and friends.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her daughter, Sheila Stevens and her husband, Donald, of Clute, Texas; her daughter, Diane Grant and her husband, Phil, of Foreman, Arkansas; her son, Michael Perry and his wife, Tracy, of Lake Jackson, and her daughter-in-law, Donna Perry, of Lake Jackson, Texas; 15 lovely grandchildren, 26 wonderful great grandchildren and one special great-great-granddaughter.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2012 at Brazosport Christian Center, 211 South Lazy Lane in Clute, Texas, with the Rev. Cedric Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Restwood Memorial, 1038 West Plantation Drive in Clute, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Lakewood Funeral Chapel, 98 North Dixie Drive in Lake Jackson, Texas.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Mike Stevens, Quint Stevens, Donnie George, Chip Stevens, Damon George, Darrin George, Aaron Stevens, Devin Perry, and Dalton Perry.
"Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall be fresh and flourishing. To declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him."
