Margaret Katy King

Margaret King, 73, was granted her angel wings on July 17, 2012. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends in the comfort of her home, where she passed peacefully.

Margaret was born on June 30, 1939 in Archer City, Texas, to Mildred and Harry Ballowe.


She married the love of her life, on May 9, 1959. Then had four beautiful children and managed to live out their vows of "Til death do us part" throughout 53 years of marriage.


Margaret was a true reflection of God's unconditional love. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be remembered in the hearts of her loved ones forever.


She is survived by her husband, James King; and three of her children, Cathy, Carolyn and Randy; brother, Harry Ballowe; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; as well as very special nieces and nephews.


She is now reunited in heaven with her youngest son, Charles and grandson, Christopher.


Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 20th, 2012, at Lakewood Funeral Home in Clute, Texas, with Pastor Ron Hogon and Brother Charlie Brown officiating. A visitation will be held at Lakewood Funeral Chapel from 5 until 8 p.m.


Pallbearers will be Mike Anderson, Horace Lemmons, Bobby McCoy, Coby McCoy, Roy Anzaldua, Steven McCombs.


In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to help with funeral and medical expenses to James King, 220 S. Shanks, Clute, Texas 77531.


Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 20, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at the Gulf Prairie Cemetery.
