Mollie Sue Steed Luckenbach

Mollie Sue Steed Luckenbach passed away on July 17, 2012 at the age of 89. She was born on October 4, 1922 in Atlanta, Texas to Belvin and Martha Steed.

Her siblings were Leola Steed Caver, Mildred Steed Eatman, Paty Steed, Cleo Steed, and Benson Steed. On June 16, 1942 she married Austin Albert (Luke) Luckenbach.





In 1950, the family moved to Lake Jackson. She has two children: Judie Sue Luckenbach Woolam and John Alan Luckenbach.


Mollie was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for many years.


She was also an avid bridge player.


Mollie is survived by her grandchildren Kyle Woolam (Bonnie) and Martha Woolam Bennett (Jeremy) and, by four great grandchildren: Luke Woolam, Drew Woolam, Pyper Bennett and Peighton Bennett.


The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, July 20, 2012, at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel.


Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel with David Luckenbach and William Allen (Sonny) Steed officiating.


Pallbearers will be Kyle Woolam, Jeremy Bennett, Lawrence Jester, William Allen (Sonny) Steed, Carl Luckenbach and J. T. (Zeke) Garrett.
