Karen Teresa Faulk

Karen Teresa Faulk, 61, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at her home in Lake Jackson. Karen was active in her church, teaching children as well as coordinating the religious education programs. Most recently, she retired as a secretary from BISD. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, traveling and a good cup of coffee. Survivors include her husband, Allen Faulk, son Jeff Faulk and his wife Teresa, daughter Teresa Hammonds and her husband Clint, grandson Cade Hammonds, parents Joy and Ray Whitehead, sister Debra and her husband Elgin Blackwell, brothers Mike Whitehead and his wife Cherle, Ronnie Whitehead and his wife Teresa, brothers-in-law Randy Faulk and his wife Sherry, Chris Faulk and his wife Leta, and many nephews and nieces that loved her dearly. Karen was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Allen and Jeanette Faulk, Sr. The family would like to thank IPH Hospice Team for their caring attention, Dr. Jay Zhu and Dr. Dong Kim of Mischer Neuroscience Institute, Dr. A. Pant and the caring staff at Brazosport Regional Cancer Center. The family also wants to thank special friends, Joanne Forse, Margaret Kana and Mike Caserta for their continual love and support. The family will receive friends for a visitation on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Lakewood Funeral Chapel with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Lake Jackson with Father Leo Wleczyk officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation for Brain Cancer Research at: MD Anderson Cancer Center 5090 Richmond Ave, PMB-291 Houston, TX 77056
