Evelyn Elaine Little

Elaine Forrest Little, known to most as "Coach Galloway", 60 of Houston, Texas died peacefully on September 4th after a courageous battle with cancer.
Elaine grew up in Sinton, Texas, and attended Sinton Public Schools. She was active in sports and was a cheerleader for the Sinton Pirates. During her early school years, she traveled with her family to Kuwait in Saudi Arabia where her dad worked for Gulf Oil Company. She attended school there where she made life-long friends and created cherished memories.
She later attended college at Sam Houston State University. After graduating, Elaine began her career in teaching and coaching in several school districts, including Sinton, Mathis, and Miller High School. She taught school for 30 years, and was a coach for 18 of those years.
After retiring, she moved to Houston and later married Tom Little, her long-time love. She loved to cook, entertain, and play Yahtzee with friends and family.
Elaine resided in Houston with love for the beach. She and Tom spent as much time as possible at their beach house in Surfside, Tx. fishing and entertaining. In her final days, this is where she found comfort with beautiful views and the ocean breeze.
Elaine was kind, fun-loving, and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Even while battling cancer, she always thought of others before herself never forgetting a birthday or a thank you.
She will be remembered by her warm smile and laughter, but her chocolate pies with no meringue will be eternally missed.
