Pearl Marie Creswell

Pearl Israel Creswell, 83, of Lake Jackson went to be with The Lord on January 7, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 10th from 5:00-8:00PM at Lakewood Funeral Chapel, rosary beginning at 7:00. The funeral services will be Saturday, January 11th at 11:00AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brazoria, Father Tin Pham officiating.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Amelia Israel. Her loving husband of 49 years, Roy J Creswell, Sr., brother John F Israel, sister Lucy Streets, and sister-in-law Ella Mae Rentrop.
She is survived by son Joey Creswell (Kathy) of Angleton, daughters Suzanne Gautney (Robert, Sr.) of Angleton, Yvonne Boyington (Chino) of Huntsville, Alabama, grandchildren Russell Grimes (Marcy), Jay Grimes (Nikki), Aaron Creswell (Casey), Jacob Boyington, Jarrod Creswell, Haylee Creswell, Jennifer Casady (Len), great grandchildren Blake Grimes (Ashley), Krystin Grimes, Jace Grimes, Taylor Creswell, Abby Creswell, Cameron Creswell, Ethan Grimes, Koda Grimes, Landon Grimes, Stella Babb, Michelle (Matt) Casady-Wilson, and Josh Casady. Her sister Lee Israel of Lake Charles, LA, brothers Harry Israel of Hayes, LA, Norris Israel of Lake Charles, LA, sister-in-law Dorothy Creswell of Cheyenne, WY and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons and honorary pallbearers are granddaughter, great granddaughters, and nephews Kenneth Rentrop and Douglas Lanier.
Roy and Pearl moved to Texas in 1952 and lived in Clute and Brazoria. After retirement, owned and operated Creswell's Bait Camp in Brazoria. Pearl was known to many as "Mamaw" and loved everyone she met. She was a loving woman whose strong faith, family and friends meant the world to her. She never met a stranger, had a contagious laugh, loved to dance, and made her famous gumbo for many. After the death of her husband, she continued to enjoy life with her dear friends, Ethel Roepke, Anna Mae Blanchard, Stella Girouard, Barbara Blanchard and Janie Amador.
To the greatest mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law and friend in the world, we love you "Big Like The World".
