Theresa Ramirez Hernandez

Theresa R. Hernandez, 86, of Lake Jackson, Texas went to be with the Lord, February 6, 2014. She was born Oct. 15, 1927 in Victoria, Tx. to Rufino and Maria Rosa Solis. She came to the area in 1972 and was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Theresa was a child care provider for numerous children since 1981.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and 5 siblings.

Theresa is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jesse J. Hernandez,
5 children: Roland Hernandez of Houston,Terri Sanchez and husband Ruben of Lake Jackson,Jesse J. Hernandez, Jr. of Dallas,Anna Tullos and husband Alan of Lake Jackson,John Hernandez of Houston,6 grandchildren: Lesley Emmons and husband Keith,Tiffany Sanchez,Brittany Sanchez,Trent Tullos,Alanna Tullos,
Alissa Tullos,2 great grandchildren: Isabel and Gabrielle Emmons,1 brother, George Ramirez and wife Connie of Angleton, 1 sister, Dominga Rivera of Sugarland, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family will receive friends 6pm until 8pm Sunday at St. Michael's Catholic Church (www.smlj.org) with a7pm Rosary service. The funeral service will be 11 am Monday, February 10, 2014 at St. Michael's Catholic Church;100 Oak Drive South; Lake Jackson, Texas 77566 with Monsignor Leo Wleczyk officiating.

Theresa was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who adored her family, enjoyed tending to her plants, flowers, birds, and her yard. She will be missed not only by her children but by the kids she cared for through the years.
