Ludvik Mezulic

Ludvik "Viko" Mezulic, 83, of Freeport passed away Friday, April 18, 2014 after a lengthy illness in Houston, Texas.

He was born July 7, 1930 Croatia Premantura, Yugoslavia to Joseph and Ivana Mezulic. Viko served in Yugoslavian Navy in the fifties. He came to Jones Creek in 1968. Viko was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a boat captain for 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gildo Mezulic and his sister Ida Doric.

Viko is survived by his wife of 56 years, Tina of Freeport,

4 children: Mili Mezulic and wife LaWane of Lake Jackson,

Denis Mezulic and wife Stephanie of Lake Jackson,

Dean Mezulic and wife Kim of Lake Jackson,

Dina Perez and husband Eusebio of Lake Jackson,

7 grandchildren: Kaleb, Adam, Darrian, and Delaney Mezulic, Joey, Kayla and Josh Perez;

2 great grandchildren: Kayvyn Mezulic and Blake Perez,

1 sister: Alice Cirielo of Trieste, Italy, and several nieces, nephews and numerous friends.

The family will receive friends __6pm to 8pm with a 7pm Rosary Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Deacon Wallace Shaw officiating. Funeral services will be 10 am Thursday, April 24, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Edmund Eduarte officiating. Interment will follow at Restwood Cemetery.

Pall bearers will be Kaleb Mezulic, Joey Perez, Josh Perez, Eusebio Perez, Dennis Mezulic, Mili Mezulic and Dean Mezulic.
